Forget Angry Birds, this is one angry fish.
This tropical jawfish certainly looks like it got out of the wrong side of the bed as it gives the photographer a fearsome look.
Yet despite its appearance, the burrowing fish is actually quite timid.
Photographer Jalil Mohd Razali, a Malaysian medical officer, said he had to wait for 15 minutes to coax the fish out of its burrow.
The 28 year old said: ‘The shot of this angry Jawfish was taken in Kapalai Island of Semporna Sabah. The dive site is called Kapalai House Reef.
‘It was around 15 metres deep and there were 5-6 jawfish around the area of sandy bottom, hiding in their burrows.
‘Despite its appearance, the Jawfish is a shy little creature and it took me around 15 minutes to make it accustomed to my presence.
‘When it assumed that I wasn’t a threat, that was when I crept slowly closer to take the shot. It might look a bit angry because it saw its reflection on my camera’s housing port.’
