The 31st season for the Helly Hansen National Offshore One Design (NOOD) Regatta begins with the first of five USA events on February 15 to 17 in St. Petersburg, FL. The opening stage has over 160 boats entered in 14 divisions.
The editors of Sailing World magazine launched the regatta series in 1988 to grow interest in one-design keelboat racing. The regattas have grown to be North America’s largest and only sailing regatta series which continues on in 2019 to San Diego, Chicago, Annapolis, and Marblehead, Mass.
Overall winners from each event advance to the championship in the British Virgin Islands.
