CAPTIVA ISLAND, Fla. – One of Southwest Florida’s favorite fisherman reeled in a nearly 14-foot tiger shark off the coast of Captiva Monday.
You may recognize Elliot Sudal from his social media accounts. He catches large fish off the coast of Southwest Florida and in Nantucket, Massachusetts.
Sudal said he hooked the tiger shark in his a boat off the coast, then reeled it in from the sand. He also collects blood samples from the sharks and uses it for shark research.
Sudal believes the shark he caught is the largest one ever caught off the coast of Southwest Florida.
