First start for San Diego Vallarta Race

San Diego, CA (March 10, 2022) – The 2022 San Diego to Vallarta International Yacht Race has 30 entrants for the biennial event, with the smallest Division 6 boats setting out today on the 1000nm course Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Two more staggered starts will be on March 11 (Division 3, 4, 5) and March 12 (Division 1, 2).

Starting today were the 1D35 Such Fast (David Garman), Beneteau Figaro 2 Envolee (Nathalie Criou), and Farr 39 White Cloud (Paul Grossman). All three raced in the 2020 race.

Note: The tracking has a 4-hour delay.

Start schedule:
March 10 – Division 6
March 11 – Division 3, 4, 5
March 12 – Division 1, 2
