Canadian focus on youth programming

Sail Canada 2025 Youth Fest, a sailing event focusing on training and development for U19 sailors, will be held August 1-5 in Kingston, Ont. The event will be hosted by CORK/Sail Kingston and will be held along Sail Canada 2025 Youth Championship for the Club 420 class.

The programming will focus on participation, training, development, and fun, and the event will include the 29er, ILCA 4 and 6, Waszp, iQFOil, and Wing Foil classes.

Sailors and coaches will benefit from training opportunities while receiving support from Canada’s top sailing coaches and officials, including from Sail Canada’s Head Coach Ken Dool.

Sail Canada 2025 Youth Fest is part of a series of eight Sail Canada National and Regional Championships to be held this summer.

These competitions provide an opportunity for sailors to train and compete with high-level sailors in their region, in addition to serving as talent identification opportunities for regional and provincial sailing teams, as development and mentoring opportunities for coaches, as well as training and development opportunities for officials and volunteers.
