New Orleans, LA (May 26, 2022) – After finishing second in their semi-final heat, Boston College took a step up to win the 2022 College Sailing Women’s Dinghy National Championship. The 4-day event was delayed by storms and light winds, with the finals completing 11 races for the top 18 teams. Leading the Eagles was A Division winners Sophia Reineke ’22 with crew Laura Ferraris ’22 and Sara Schumann ’25 while B Division teammates Colleen O’Brien ’24 with crew Lilly Mathieu ’23 and Michaela O’Brien ’24 finished third. Yale finished two points back in second with Stanford six points off the lead in third.
