Committed to USA sailing excellence

Eleven TP52 teams are set for the 52 SUPER SERIES 2025, with the first of five events to commence April 30-May 4 in Saint-Tropez, France. Nine nations will be represented as defending champions American Magic Quantum Racing (USA) seeks a repeat in the world’s leading grand prix monohull circuit.

What began as a strategic collaboration (Quantum Racing, powered by American Magic) in 2023 has matured into a single, integrated platform (American Magic Quantum Racing) representing the most seamless convergence yet between America’s Cup-level systems and the TP52 circuit.

“We’ve brought our two competitive sailing programs under one flag,” said Team Principal Doug DeVos, “to reinforce our commitment to performance, development, and the advancement of American sailing.”

The team now operates under a single high-performance umbrella, integrating technology, coaching, design inputs, and operations across the full American Magic platform.

“We’re not just building a team to win now,” said Terry Hutchinson, President of Sailing Operations. “We’re building a program that ensures American sailors are ready to win for years to come – trained, tested, and hardened at the top level of the sport.”

After sitting out last season, Hutchinson returns to the team as tactician and DeVos to the helm. Victor Diaz de Leon backs up as strategist while Sara Stone moves back in the boat from mid-bow to navigator. The team  updated its foils and has been training in Palma for the 2025 season.
