The World Sailing Show delivers 30-minute episodes which feature news, profiles, and racing highlights from across the world of sailing.
• A spotlight on the women’s iQFOiL Olympic favorites
• SailGP makes its debut in Abu Dhabi
• The race continues for places in Paris 2024 with more qualification events
• An epic finish in the Rolex Sydney-Hobart kicks off the year
• Recap of the Youth Sailing World Championships in Búzios, Brazil
The January episode begins 2024 with a look at potential medal contenders at this summer’s Olympic Games, with this month focusing on women’s windsurfing where Shahar Tibi and Sharon Kantor are at the center of a very strong group of Israeli iQFOiL athletes. Sharon is the current world number one and Shahar is the current world champion, after winning the title in The Hague last year. But with just one spot on the team for Paris, the mood in the camp is competitive yet supportive despite the high stakes.
Next, the show heads to Brazil for a recap of the 2023 Youth Sailing World Championship which attracted 61 nations to the regatta. The conditions provided an excellent test for the young sailors, but with such a high level of talent on show, it did not take long for the fleet to get to grips with the waves. There are interviews with the winners and highlights from 10 days of racing
