Rick Tomlinson is a photographer and sailor whose relationship with the Ocean Race runs deep. He first stepped onboard a Whitbread boat as a sailor back in 1985. From there, Rick pioneered the role of capturing life onboard as a photographer, taking some of the most iconic images.
In this conversation, Rick takes us through his career in sailing, and discusses life before digital cameras and satellite communications onboard, and whether he was the first drone photographer.
