Aleix Sanllehy To Sail Through Pain Barrier After Fracturing Rib
Aleix Sanllehy (Tabou / GA Sails) has been dealt a blow before the opening event on the 2018 Men’s PWA Wave World Tour after the 29-year-old suffered a fractured rib while training for the Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival (15th-21st July).
However, Sanllehy, who finished 12th overall last year, still plans to try and compete adding: “I will compete in Pozo. I was training push forwards and the harness went into my ribs on the landing… the rib is fractured but not broken….
The lucky thing is that I can compete, but it all just depends on how much I can deal with the pain.
The unlucky thing is that it is super painful, but I will try today and let’s see how this pain thing goes…”
